Project presentation

Paper layers with an ever-evolving mosaic of meticulously crafted details, once confined to the physical realm, now live in a digital space of pixels revealing a parallel universe and a futuristic microcosmos of complex landscapes, intricate textures, electric compositions and vibrant colors.

Each piece is a testament to DOES’s meticulous craftsmanship, weaving stories of futuristic landscapes and vibrant expressions through layers of dynamic textures.

A quest to render the delicate nature of paper resilient to the sands of time guided DOES to a mystical crossroad, where the cosmic threads of fate intertwined with AI artist Gene Kogan — his alchemist of technology and a conjurer of digital dreams.

Being a master of technology Gene unlocked the code to access the digital subconscious of DOES to download detailed timestamps. These futuristic details form the building blocks that unfold into vibrant microcities of paper pixels.

Wander through this parallel universe where details, textures and elements, once static, become a dynamic infrastructure of storytelling creations, visualizing boundless possibilities that arise when tradition meets technology.

Take a closer look at a new world of textures, symbols and elements, now unveiled for the first time through the transformation of materials: from paper to pixels. This new world unlocked an alternative universe where every detail has been recreated, revealing a futuristic cosmos filled with vibrant shapes and 3D textures never before seen. This recreation is bringing parallel timelines together into a new realm of details.

Artist Presentation

Digital Does: Dedication, focus and self-restraint are ingrained in him after living the life of a professional football player until the age of 28. For more than a decade he combined the daily needs of a professional athlete with the night-time secrets of a graffiti writer until a knee injury forced him to give up his career as a professional football player. Since then, DOES has devoted himself exclusively to art. Over the years DOES's art has diversified into illustrative drawings, prints and canvases, sculptures and more recently paper collages. DOES travels all over the world to participate in numerous international projects, his art is featured in collections across the globe.

Gene Kogan: AI Art Pioneer, founding artist of the Braindrop platform with his Brain Loops collection, Gene Kogan is an artist and programmer exploring autonomous systems, collective intelligence, generative art, and computer science. He is interested in advancing scientific literacy through creativity and play, and building educational spaces which are as open and accessible as possible. His programming work is all free & open-source, and he records many of lectures and tutorials for free distribution. Currently, he is leading an open project to create an autonomous artificial artist as well as compiling a free educational toolkit on machine learning for art.
